Start with 1 per 50

Step 1 Plan 1 porta potty for every 50 guests at a party of up to 4 hours. This is the Willie Rental Works sizing method.

Long party? Add more

Step 2 For each extra 4 hours, add half of your base count. Always add at least 1 unit.

Serving drinks?

Step 3 When alcohol is served, guests go more often. Add 1 unit for every 4 units you already have. Add at least 1.

Serving food?

Step 4 Plan 1 hand wash station for every 3 toilets. Guests can wash up before they eat.

Guests who use wheelchairs

Step 5 Plan at least 1 wheelchair-accessible unit for a public event or any guest who uses a wheelchair. ADA Standards §213.2 asks for 5% of units in each group, at least 1.
