How many porta potties does a Conroe job site need?
A Conroe job site with 20 or fewer workers needs at least 1 toilet under OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51(c). Crews of 20 to 199 need 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers. For weekly service on a 40-hour week, we recommend 1 unit per 10 workers so the tank never fills early.
| Crew size | OSHA Table D-1 minimum | Willie Rental Works recommends | Hand washing |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–10 workers | 1 toilet | 1 standard unit | Sanitizer in unit, or 1 sink unit |
| 11–20 workers | 1 toilet | 2 units | 1 hand wash station |
| 21–40 workers | 1 seat + 1 urinal per 40 | 3–4 units | 1 hand wash station |
| 41–80 workers | 2 seats + 2 urinals | 5–8 units | 2 hand wash stations |
| 200+ workers | 1 seat + 1 urinal per 50 | Call for a site plan | 1 station per 4 toilets |
Worked example: a framing crew of 14 works 10-hour days, 5 days a week. OSHA requires 1 toilet. Our guideline says 14 ÷ 10 = 1.4, so round up to 2 units. If the crew works Saturdays too, add a second weekly service instead of a third unit.
What does weekly job-site porta potty service include?
Weekly job-site porta potty service includes 4 steps on every visit. The technician pumps the 60-gallon tank, washes the inside, sanitizes the seat, walls and door handle, and restocks 2 rolls of toilet paper and hand sanitizer. A fresh blue deodorizer charge goes in last.
The service truck needs to reach the unit. Keep a 4-foot path open and do not stack lumber, trusses or brick pallets in front of the door.
When one weekly visit is not enough
Crews over 10 people, Saturday work and the July–August heat all fill tanks faster. Book a second weekly visit, or add a unit. Ask the dispatcher which costs less for your crew size.
Hand washing on site
OSHA 1926.51(f) covers washing facilities when crews handle paint, coatings or other harmful materials. Add a two-station hand wash sink, or rent a standard unit with a sink inside.

How does 28-day job-site billing work?
Job-site porta potties bill every 28 days, not by calendar month. The 28-day rate includes weekly service. The cycle renews on its own until you call or text for pickup. Call 2 business days before the cycle ends, and no new cycle starts. Delivery and pickup are charged one time.
- Day 1: deliveryThe first 28-day cycle and the one-time delivery charge are billed.
- Every week: servicePump-out and restock happen on your route day. No extra charge.
- Day 28: renewalThe next cycle bills only if the unit is still needed.
- Last day: pickupCall or text. The pickup charge is billed once, and the unit leaves.
Builders with several addresses can keep one account and move units from slab to slab. See what a full job-site quote includes, or plan a longer project with monthly and long-term rentals.
Where should the porta potty go on a construction site?
The porta potty should sit on level, firm ground within about 200 feet of the work, with a 4-foot path for the service truck. Keep the unit 10 feet from trench edges, out of crane swing paths, and off the driveway apron where concrete trucks turn. On Conroe clay, gravel or a pallet pad prevents sinking after rain.
- Residential lots: near the front setback, off the street. Keep it out of the City of Conroe right-of-way.
- Gated subdivisions: send the gate code and builder contact. Many HOAs want units on the lot, not the sidewalk.
- Hurricane season (June 1–November 30): ask for a tie-down stake. Call before a named storm, and we can lay units down or pull them.
- Moving phases: we move a unit across the site for a $45 move fee. Do not drag or tip the unit yourself.

Construction porta potty questions from Conroe builders
These 7 answers cover what contractors and owner-builders ask before a job-site rental starts: cost, short roof jobs, stalled projects, locks, AP payment, multiple addresses and no-show suppliers. Each answer opens with the fact, then the conditions that change it. For general rental questions, see the full FAQ.
How much is a construction porta potty per month in Conroe?
A standard job-site unit starts at $175 per 28 days with weekly service. Delivery starts at $65 and pickup at $30, both charged once. A unit with a sink starts at $225 per 28 days. Texas sales tax is added.
I only need it for 3 days for a roof job. Do I pay the full 28 days?
A job-site rental is one 28-day rate, even for 3 days. For short jobs, ask for the event rate instead. The event rate covers up to 3 days and costs less when no weekly service is needed.
We're owner-builders. What if the job stalls and the unit sits?
The unit keeps billing every 28 days until you call for pickup. If work stops for a month or more, call us. We can pick up the unit and bring it back when crews return, for a new delivery charge.
Can I put my own lock on the unit?
A padlock fits the door hasp on our job-site units. Leave a key or the combination with the dispatcher, or the service tech cannot clean the unit that week.
Can our accounts payable pay by invoice or PO?
Approved builders and public buyers get net-30 invoicing against a PO. The first order may need a card. After that, monthly invoices go to your AP email.
Do you deliver to more than one job site on one account?
One account can cover many addresses. Each address gets its own delivery and its own 28-day cycle. When a house is done, we pick up the unit or move it to the next lot.
Our supplier didn't show up. Can you get one out today?
Same-day delivery is available when you call by 12 PM, Monday through Saturday. The same-day fee starts at $75. See same-day porta potty delivery.
