How many porta potties do I need for a party?

A party needs 1 porta potty for every 50 guests when it runs 4 hours or less. That is the Willie Rental Works sizing method. Each extra 4 hours adds half the base count, at least 1. Beer or wine adds 1 unit per 4 toilets. Food adds 1 hand wash station per 3 toilets.

Worked example: a graduation party for 100 guests runs 2 PM to 8 PM, with brisket and a keg. The base is 100 ÷ 50 = 2 units. Six hours passes the 4-hour mark, so add half of 2, which is 1.

The keg adds 1 more, for 4 toilets. Food calls for 1 hand wash station per 3 toilets, and 4 ÷ 3 rounds up to 2 stations.

Open to the public, or expecting a guest who uses a wheelchair? Add at least 1 wheelchair-accessible porta potty. For other head counts, the porta potty calculator runs the same math for you.

When do you drop off and pick up for a weekend event?

A weekend event unit arrives on Friday and leaves on Monday, and those 3 nights cost nothing extra. Saturday-morning drop-off is available on request. Our trucks stay parked on Sunday. A Sunday event gets its units on Friday or Saturday, with pickup on Monday.

  1. Friday: drop-offThe driver sets each unit level between 7 AM and 7 PM. A text on the way is yours if you ask.
  2. Party day: ready to usePaper and sanitizer are already stocked. Leave the doors closed overnight to keep bugs out.
  3. Monday: pickupThe driver hauls the units away. Nobody needs to be home if the gate is open.

A 3-day festival or church revival is different. We schedule a service visit between days, so tanks stay low and paper stays full.

How are event units different from construction units?

Event units and job-site units use the same 91-inch shell, but we keep 2 separate groups. Event units are held for weekends, so they never spend months on a muddy slab. They go out washed and stocked, and they come back to our Conroe yard every Monday for cleaning.

Job-site units do hard work. Drywall dust, boots and heat wear them down over a long build.

Party guests notice scuffs and smells that a framing crew ignores. Read more in event vs. construction porta potties. Want a step up? A deluxe flushable porta potty with a sink has a foot-pump flush and paper towels.

Where should a party porta potty go at a house?

A party porta potty needs flat, firm ground about 4 by 4 feet, like the side of a driveway. A wheelchair-accessible unit takes about 5 by 5 feet on a hard surface. The driver needs a 4-foot path from the truck, and the door should face your guests.

  • Driveway or pad: concrete stays level and dry even when the lawn is soaked.
  • Lawns after rain: we do not roll onto soft grass. Pick a firm spot as a backup.
  • Food tables: set the units downwind and 30 or more feet from where people eat.
  • Night parties: a porch light or string lights help guests find the door after dark.
  • HOA rules: some neighborhoods want units beside the house, not out front. Check before Friday.

Serving food? Pair the units with a two-station hand washing sink. Planning a reception instead? The wedding restroom rental page covers flushable units and trailers.

Party porta potty questions from Conroe hosts

These 7 answers cover what party hosts ask before they book: weekend pricing, timing, rain, driveways and hand washing. Each answer leads with the fact, so you can scan the list fast. Need the whole price list? The porta potty cost guide breaks down every rate.

Is that price per day or for the whole weekend?

An event unit is priced for the whole weekend window, from Friday drop-off to Monday pickup. A standard event unit starts at $195, plus $60 for delivery and pickup. Texas sales tax is added.

Do I have to be home when you drop it off?

Nobody needs to be home if the gate is open and the spot is marked. Set out a lawn chair or a cone where the unit goes. Send any gate code when you book.

What if it rains the day of the party?

Rain does not stop the delivery. The driver stays off soggy grass, so the unit goes on the driveway or other firm ground. Cancelling more than 72 hours before delivery gets a full refund.

Can it go on my driveway?

A driveway works well because the concrete is flat and firm. One unit takes about 4 by 4 feet. Leave enough room for cars to get in and out.

My party is on a Sunday. When does it come?

Sunday parties get a Friday or Saturday drop-off, because our trucks do not run on Sundays. Pickup is the next Monday.

Do you guys bring hand washing stuff too?

A two-station hand wash sink starts at $95 per weekend. When food is served, plan on 1 station for every 3 toilets.

How far ahead should I book for a graduation party?

Book as soon as the date is set. Spring and fall weekends go first. Standard orders can be set for any date you choose.
