How Does Porta Potty Rental Work? Booking to Pickup

Porta potty rental works in 4 stages. You get a quote and book a date. We deliver between 7 AM and 7 PM and set the unit on a level spot you pick. We service it weekly on longer rentals. When you text or call for pickup, we haul it away and billing ends.

What are the steps from booking to pickup?

A porta potty rental runs through 10 steps, from the first quote to the last pickup. Most steps take only a minute of your time. The two that matter most are choosing a good spot and giving us pickup notice. Here is the full order, start to finish.

  1. Get a quoteShare your ZIP, dates, unit type and head count. Every charge is listed before you pay.
  2. Book and payPay by card. Approved businesses, schools and government buyers can use an invoice or PO.
  3. Confirm the detailsThe dispatcher repeats the address, unit, dates and placement spot back to you.
  4. Delivery windowTrucks run from 7 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Saturday. Ask, and the driver texts when on the way.
  5. PlacementThe driver rolls the unit to your marked spot and sets it level with the door facing open space.
  6. AccessShare gate codes and lock combos. The truck needs overhead room, and the path needs to be 4 feet wide.
  7. Servicing and restocking28-day rentals get a weekly pump-out, wash, sanitize and restock. Event units arrive ready to use.
  8. Extra serviceBusy crew or a hot week? Book an added visit or a twice-weekly schedule.
  9. ExtensionsA 28-day rental renews on its own. An event rental can stretch if you ask before pickup day.
  10. Pickup and the end of billingText or call 2 business days before the cycle ends. We remove the unit, and no new cycle starts.

Where should you put a porta potty?

A porta potty belongs on a firm, level spot about 4 feet square, on your own property. The driver needs a clear path 4 feet wide from the truck to that spot. Keep the door and vent away from windows and the A/C unit. Check your HOA rules before delivery day.

CheckWhat worksWhy it matters
SurfaceDriveway, gravel or packed dirt.A firm base keeps the unit from leaning.
SlopeFlat ground only.A tilted unit can rock or tip over.
Lake Conroe lotsNear the drive, above the slope.Yards falling toward the water are rarely level.
House, windows, A/CSide yard, downwind from the patio.Odor stays away from rooms and air intakes.
Path width4 feet clear, truck to spot. The unit rolls in on a hand truck.
OverheadNo low limbs or wires above.Loading and service need head room.
HOA rulesBeside the house or behind a fence. Many master-planned areas limit where units sit.
Right-of-wayKeep on private property.Streets need City of Conroe approval.
After rainA hard spot near pavement. We do not drive onto soft, wet lawns.

Putting anything in a street or the public right-of-way needs permission first. Ask the City of Conroe before you plan a curbside spot. For HOA letters and remodel timing, see the post on porta potties during a home remodel.

What do we need from you on delivery day?

Delivery day goes smoothly with 4 things from you. We need a marked spot, an open or coded gate, a clear 4-foot path and your phone number. You do not need to stand outside. A cone, chair or flag on the spot tells the driver where the unit goes.

  • Mark the spot: a cone or lawn chair works. A map pin helps on big lots.
  • Open the way: unlock gates, or send the code and lock combination.
  • Move what blocks it: cars, trailers, hoses and building materials.
  • Pets inside: keep dogs in the house while the driver works.

If the spot is blocked when the driver arrives

The driver calls or texts you first. If you cannot clear the spot, we set the unit at the nearest firm, level place you approve. We never leave a unit leaning on a slope or sitting in a street.

A driveway edge is often the easiest delivery spot: hard, flat and close to the truck.

What happens to a porta potty in rain and storms?

Ordinary rain does not stop a porta potty rental. The unit is sealed and vented, so it works in a downpour. Wind is the bigger risk. From June 1 to November 30, ask for a tie-down. Before a named storm, call us to lay units down or pull them.

Soft ground after heavy rain can change delivery plans. Our trucks stay off wet lawns, so the unit may sit nearer the driveway. Pick a backup spot on pavement if storms are in the forecast.

Long rentals and service days

Remodels, farms and business repairs often keep a unit for months. Weekly service happens on your route day, so keep the path clear that day. See monthly porta potty rentals for long stays.

Delivery, pickup and billing questions

These 7 answers cover the practical questions about a rental once it is booked: being home, arrival times, moves, extensions, Sundays, rain and how to stop billing. Each answer opens with the fact. For what each line of the bill costs, read the porta potty rental cost guide.

Do I have to be there when you drop it off?

You can be away when the unit arrives. Mark the spot, open the gate or send the code, and keep pets inside. Ask, and the driver texts a photo once the unit is set.

What time will the driver come?

Deliveries run between 7 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Saturday. We do not promise an exact hour, because routes shift with traffic and stops. Ask for a heads-up text, and the driver sends one when on the way.

Can you move it later?

We move units on your site for a $45 move fee. Please do not drag, tip or carry the unit yourself. A unit moved by the renter that gets damaged is billed to the renter.

How do I stop billing?

Text or call for pickup at least 2 business days before your 28-day cycle ends. That stops the next cycle from billing. The cycle already running is not prorated.

Can I extend it another week?

Ask before the scheduled pickup day, and we change the plan. An event rental covers up to 3 days. A longer stay is re-quoted, often as a 28-day rental from $175 with weekly service. A 28-day rental keeps going on its own.

Can you bring it on Sunday?

Sunday deliveries are not offered. For a Sunday event, we drop off Friday or Saturday and pick up Monday. The weekend window costs nothing extra.

What if it rains the day you deliver?

Delivery goes ahead in normal rain. On a soft yard, the driver uses the nearest firm ground and stays off the lawn. A paved backup spot keeps the plan simple.
